I win the race!

Posted: Tuesday 23rd June 2009

Hi cubs,

Its been a while!

I headed back to Africa for a while for a holiday but am back again in action. I did some warm weather training to try to make it into Southend Boys world school team but apparently Im not quite quick enough, however, I did win the Shoebury fair mascot race against my rivals on Saturday with a huge lead.

My rivals included Rocko (the slow lion) from Thurrock SSP, Sammie the shrimp from Southend United, Elvis the Eel from Southend United and Pete from the air ambulance. It was a really exciting race but nobody could keep up with me, Leo the greatest Lion of them all, not even the so called King Rocko!!!

I shall be heading to try out against the KS1 borough sports teams tomorrow at Garons so look out for me!

I shall also be training hard in the summer as I have been invited to the Gifted and Talented Academy for athletics after my great sprint at the weekend!

You never know... you may see me in the olympics 2012!

Speak soon...

Feel free to write to me as I do get lonely sometimes on my own!

Leo x
