Year 3/4 Sports Hall Finals
Welcome to the Year 3/4 Sports Hall Athletics annual report. Thank heavens the athletics were inside as the temperatures saw our cars and puddles freeze over! Schools that attended session 1 were Bournes Green, Thorpe Greenways and Thorpe Hall. The 2nd session saw Prince Avenue and Bournemouth as one school had to pull out of the competition.
Session one saw the start of the year 3/4 events to come, and who thought little legs could go that fast! Very close races, big jumps, and fast reactions meant this session was going to be fast paced.
The 2nd session only had two schools entered, it was decided each school would put out their Scoring and non events teams in the same races so that everyone was involved constantly. Overall both sessions were action packed sessions. Well done to all schools for attending and showing brilliant sportsmanship and determination, but there could only be one winner. Congratulations to Bournes Green junior and Bournemouth Park for winning their respective sessions who are now crowned as Southend East SSP champions.

1st – Bournes Green: 144 points
2nd – Thorpe Greenways: 136 points
3rd – Thorpe Hall: 100 points
Session 2
1st – Bournemouth Park: 186 points
2nd – Prince Avenue: 174 points
