SEN schools Playground 2 Podium

Posted by:  David Hardman

Today saw St Nicolas School along with SEN schools from across the county gather to Chelmsford Sports and Athletic Park for the 1st SEN playground 2 podium day of the year. Ten students from St Nicolas school attended the day with myself and Mr Woods (PE Coordinator) where students had the opportunity to partake numerous amounts of sport. Each sport consisted of simple and exciting drills that students could easily excute and of course ENJOY! All sports and their National Governing Bodies offered top quality coaches, so we all knew the day would be fun and also contructive.

Sports included:

- Athletics - SAQ, long jump and javelin
- Football
- Table Tennis
- Table Cricket
- Volleyball
- Wheelchair Basketball
- Trampolining was cancelled due to weather, thus athletics moving indoors

All in all, every P2P day is so much fun for the pupils and i'm sure they will be asking when the next one is tomorrow! Photos of the day will be up shortly.
